Tuition offers a user-friendly payment structure, facilitating parents, guardians, and sponsors to pay assorted fees smoothly to educational bodies within Africa and overseas in their local currencies. This includes an initial roll-out to about 40 institutions in the UK, and it’s anticipated to expand to more institutions across Africa, the UK, the U.S., Canada, France, and Germany as the product increasingly attracts attention.
As per the company’s FAQ page, this financial tech enterprise currently processes payments from a range of African nations encompassing Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and South Africa. Patrons are given various payment alternatives, such as using a debit card, credit card, Google Pay, or opting for a bank transfer, the latter being available exclusively in Nigeria.
Flutterwave sets the payment rates according to the prevailing market rates as a measure of fairness. Further, each transaction conducted via Tuition involves a fixed fee of 20 GBP, offering users clear and transparent information about the transaction expenses.
