The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 407 after 34 new cases were reported, the country’s disease control center said.
In an update released late Wednesday, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said so far 12 people have died from COVID-19 and 128 been discharged in the West African nation.
The latest cases were from Lagos, Kano, Katsina, Delta and Niger states.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari late Monday extended the COVID-19 lockdown for a further two weeks in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun, saying the decision was right to curb the spread of the disease through community transmission. Enditem
