Aisha Buhari Cup: Black Queens Coach names final squad

Coach Mercy Quarcoo-Tagoe, the Head Coach of the Black Queens has named her final squad for the maiden Aisha Buhari Invitational tourney which would kick start on Monday, September 13 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Coach Quarcoo-Tagoe pruned her 30 invited players to 23, which is made of four foreign based players and 19 local-based players. The local-based players and the Technical team arrived in Nigeria for the competition on Monday, September 13 and would be joined by the foreign based players later in the day.

The competition forms part of preparations for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers for Ghana.

The Aisha Buhari Cup is a six nations Invitational Women’s Football Tournament involving Cameroun, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Mali and host Nigeria and Ghana is paired in Group A with Nigeria, Morocco and Mali.
