You must have read reviews about the best hotels in Nigeria, the cheapest hotels in Nigeria, the most customer-friendly hotels in Nigeria, and so on; however, it’s time to read about the 10 most popular hotels in Nigeria.

While it is pretty difficult to obtain accurate information about guest and customer info, based on a survey, we were able to decide on the choice of hotels to include in this list. The quality of their services, standards of facilities, proximity to airports, city centres, online buzz and comments were part of the criteria used to determine their level of customer patronage – plus or minus a few factors.

These most patronized hotels are not arranged in any order of preference or in any manner indicative of their level of patronage:

Located at Ladi Kwali Way, Abuja, and only 40 minutes drive from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the Sheraton Hotel Abuja is one of the most patronized hotels in Nigeria for residents or those operating a business in Abuja. This 5-star hotel has 540 guest rooms and suites, 7 meeting rooms, 4 ballrooms, international facilities that cover lobby, fitness, restaurant, and  a spas among others. It is used by non Abuja residents for meetings, social occasions, and so many more.

The slogan of the Eko hotels and suites is “nesting international standards with African hospitality” and that’s exactly what you get with them. It is one of the most popular event centres in Lagos, playing host to high class IV only corporate balls, concerts, dinners,  and cocktail parties affordable only to the high class and affluent. Its also a fashionable hotel. It is one of the most patronized hotels for those within and outside Abuja and a place you’d like to checkout whenever you’re in town.

4. Premier Hotel, Ibadan

Located on the crest of Mokola Hill, the Premier Hotel is seen hundreds of miles away, even in the night.  Reputed as the most prestigious hotel in Ibadan and the place of choice for expatriates, heads of states, and  dignitaries who visit the ancient city of Ibadan its proximity to the University of Ibadan, the University College Hospital, the government secretariat, and business district of Dugbe gives it a better advantage. Of course this is coupled with the fact that they maintain international standards.

 

5. Gateway Hotel, Abeokuta

This is another hotel which is located in an ancient city of Abeokuta, Ogun state popularly called the rock city (due to the rocky nature of the town and the presence of the famous Olumo rock.

It is centrally located around government offices, the commercial hub of the ancient town, the natural tourism sites, and has all the facilities that gives it a local appeal while also making it fascinating to foreigners and tourists.
