Radisson Hotel Group plans five new hotels in Africa: Travel Weekly

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the addition of five hotels to its African portfolio with openings in Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana.

The Radisson Blu Hotel Abuja City Centre in Nigeria is scheduled to open in 2024. Located in the heart of the central business district of Nigeria’s federal capital, the 258-room hotel will boast five food and beverage outlets: a specialty restaurant, an all-day-dining restaurant , the Lobby Bar & Cafe, a pool terrace and a premium business-class lounge. The leisure facilities will include a wellness spa, a gym and a swimming pool.

Scheduled to open before year’s end, the Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo, is situated on a private estate with easy access to the main highways and a 10-minute drive from the airport.  The 289-room hotel will offer an array of dining options, including four restaurants, three bars an entertainment deck and an executive lounge.

The Radisson Hotel Addis Ababa in Ethiopia is scheduled to open in 2021. The hotel is located just a little more than two miles from Ethiopia’s newly expanded Addis Ababa Bole Airport, now the busiest airport hub in Africa. The 114-room hotel will boast a wide variety of food and drink outlets as well as a panoramic bar.

Radisson Hotel & Apartments Accra Ghana will open in 2023. This hotel will include the renovation of an existing 121-room hotel as well as the construction of an additional tower that will offer 54 hotel apartments.

The Park Inn by Radisson will be situated near Durban’s airport in South Africa. The 168-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2022.
