Melania Trump’s visit to Africa in Pictures

On October 1st 2018, the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump began her first solo international mission to Africa, touring Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt.

Melania also used this medium to spread the message of her ‘Be Best’ Child Welfare Initiative. A campaign she launched in May to focus on overall child well-being, with emphasis on opioid addiction and online behaviour.

However, following reports of her husband, President Donald Trump describing some African countries as a “shithole” in February, Mrs Trump’s visit could also be an attempt to build diplomatic relations.
