Job Description: The Observation unit at Northwest Hospital is a 20-bed unit that cares for a diverse mix of diagnoses. The majority of patients stay on this unit for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit specialize in telemetry, stroke and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Position Summary: Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and function as advisor, resource, preceptor and leader for other members of the patient care team. Must consistently continue to meet the requirements and expectations for an RN. Requirements: Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field. 1-3 years of experience. Maryland Registered Nurse License American Heart Association CPR Certification Specialty certification preferred.
Skills & experience:

1. Minimum of 1 year RN acute care hospital experience required
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Maryland RN license
3. CPR certification What you need to know: 1. Available Shift: Days and Night; 3 12 hour shifts 2. Chance to serve the Northwest Baltimore metropolitan area 3. The hospital recently underwent an extensive renovation and expansion to include a SurgiCenter, pharmacy, sleep center, Women’s Wellness Center and other state-of-the art facilities
