Oniocha at MEST Africa Challenge finale 2020

In a time when Ghanaian children are being encouraged to cultivate the healthy habit of reading books, a little startup has taken it upon itself to carve a niche — and possibly pave the way for others — by positioning itself as Ghana’s go-to place for books.

Oniocha Books is an online marketplace where you go to buy and sell books, as well as exchange yours with any interested party. Their mission is simple: make access to books quick and easy to help improve the literary space in Africa.

As should be expected of a bookstore of its type in the modern era, Oniocha stocks books in hardcopy form as well as in ebook format. It also has other digital content, and more for patrons to choose from.

Oniocha Books, together with representatives from eight other African countries, would be pitching live for their chance to be crowned as this year’s event champions.
