Del-York Academy to hold media training in Lagos | The Guardian Nigeria News

The Del-York Creative Academy (DCA) has announced its training programme on film and media in Lagos between May 10 and June 10, 2019.A statement issued yesterday by founder of the Academy, Linus Idahosa, revealed that the event would attract 20 instructors from major Hollywood studios and premier United States film schools.

It noted that participants would be offered extensive menu of courses, such as, directing, screenwriting, editing, acting, sound design and scoring, music video production, as well as broadcast journalism costume and set design.Others are make-up and special effects, cinematography and set lighting, colouring and grading, producing, business of filmmaking, introduction to theater, production design, animation design and drone technology.

The academy started its first edition on a historical note, as it partnered with New York-based capacity-building institution.The statement also noted that as part of efforts to empower the next generation, 500 of Africa’s most talented creative disruptors would be selected from Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Gambia, Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Chad, Morocco, and other African nations, will be groomed under Project 500.
