Apply now for a shot at $50,000 in equity investment from MEST Africa Challenge 2019

The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) has opened applications for the 2019 edition of its MEST Africa Challenge.

Last year, at the inaugural edition of the MEST Africa Challenge, Nigerian-based SaaS accounting startup and Techpoint Build Alumni, Accounteer beat over 700 applicants to come out tops, taking home the $50,000 equity investment. The startup has since expanded from Nigeria to Kenya and received additional funding from early-stage venture, Microtraction.

This year’s challenge will host regional competitions in Nigeria (Lagos, 26 February), Ghana (Accra, 27 February), Kenya (Nairobi, 27 February), Ivory Coast (Abidjan, 28 February) and South Africa (Cape Town, 28 February).

Winners from each country will proceed to the finals, which will be held during the 2019 MEST Africa Summit, holding in Nairobi, Kenya between the 10th and 12th of June, 2019.
